I had been collecting these glamour shot images on my iPhone, then would have to save them to the computer and remove them as I would run out of space -- so I figured it would just be better to create a page so I can see them quickly. While still dealing with the new house, mostly painting and fine-tuning the kitchen layout, the timing chain broke on my car. Which would mean rebuilding the top half of the motor or getting a new car – so on top of everything else that is going on, I am now car shopping. I love Ikea, but if your looking into getting the AKURUM kitchen cabinets the Horizontal cabinet’s mounting bracket is lower than the rest (Vertical) cabinets – making it difficult to hang it level.

The date for the live action movie has been moved up to October 23, 2015 ... weeks after the 30th anniversary of Jem's original airing on Super Sunday.

• I added my promo banners for the Integrity Dolls to the Integrity Doll page, I love IT’s photos and enjoyed using them to promote the waves of releases, and comparing them to original Hasbro versions. And if you click on the wave banner directly above it will take you directly to that wave.
• I also put the shots of the original 1988 Hasbro Rockin Romance Packaging to the 2014 San Diego Comic Con page to compare the accuracy of the new retro packaging.

• Finally updated the 2014 San Diego Comic Con page, the Jem/Jerrica page, Integrity Toys page, IT vs. Hasbro and IT Quick View pages with Rockin' Romance Jem™ along with Countess Danielle Du Voisin™ (2014 W Club Exclusive Upgrade Doll) to Rio™, Synergy™, the Starlight Girls™, and Rama Llama page,

So now my G5 is basically dead – I do must of my design work on it. So I had to transfer all my files to back storage and/or my G4 laptop. My computers are royally out of date. I have a PC laptop but refuse to get Adobe Cloud for it, so at some point I will be getting a brand new Mac – and then I will finally be back up to updating at 100%. :)

House updates: paid one contractor because he was just about done – he left 20 mins later, and haven’t seen him in months – still missing several rows of siding on the house. Still “fighting” with the previous contractor because he was to level the sub floor and only glued a second sub floor on top -- sealing all the problems. A more resent contractor put in the kitchen floor tiles, but when he went to unpack the Lowe’s cabinets 15 or the 19 were damages. Lowe’s dropped of another set a few days later and I rejected them all before they could be unloaded. Had to fire that contract because he kept over charging and kept doing jobs (and wanting money for) that he wasn’t hired to do. Lowe’s was getting a 3rd set of cabinets directly from the factory, but I was just sick of dealing when them. So I canceled that Lowe’s order and ordered Ikea cabinets via the phone, and it took about mouth to get to the right person to get the cabinets ordered, paid for and shipped. Finally got them, so these days I’m putting the Ikea cabinets together, and don’t have anyone lined up to install them – but they are so user friendly we might be installing them ourselves. I love the Ikea cabinets, and the quality of the parts/pieces is 100 times better than Lowe’s or Menards. Putting them together is a little frustrating, because it’s just a bunch of boxes and bags – so figuring out what parts go to which cabinet is a little confusing.

Renovating a house is a nightmare!

• It was announced the Rockin' Romance Jem™ will be the 2014 San Diego Comic Con doll, with Retro Packaging.

I did scan a lot of prototype items; when I was babysitting my parents’ cat -- hope to have them added soon. I’m steeling time for the website because it’s a three day weekend – the renovation is keeping my very busy. Hoping to be finished with the renovation in about a month and half. The brand new kitchen should be going in near the end of this upcoming week or maybe the following week. Should be priming and painting drywall right now. (Never renovate, dealing with contractors is hell)

• Friends, but no Strangers as Integrity Toys announced the next wave of Jem dolls -- Constance "Clash" Montgomery™ proving three head are better than one, Vivien "Video" Montgomery™ to record the videos, Giselle "Danse" Dvorak™ with a costume change for her performances & Regine Césaire™ ready to design Jem's latest fashions. And there is more to come …
• If you noticed the banner above, I had to submit an artist release for the posters I designed for the Jem movie. I can’t wait to see them in the movie.
• Haven’t taken the time to update trademark pages, but the Stingers for dolls and Jem™/Jem and the Holograms™ books, etc., had been extended in April -- again, the Stingers really didn't need to be extended since the dolls have been out since Sept 2013.

Some of the cast has been announced, Jem, Kimber, Aja, Shana, Rio and Zipper – sounds like Eric will be announced very soon. No sign of the Misfits, but it would be hard to believe that Pizzazz, Roxy and Stormer are not in the mix if Eric and Zipper are in the cast.

There is a lot controversy over the casting, I feel very sorry for darker skinned African Americans that 80’s Shana represented – and the not necessarily reflected with our new Shana. Our cutlers have blended so much since the 80’s I feel like many nationalities and variations of those nationalities cannot be properly represented. :(

If feelings were hurt of the casting audition, I feel bad for those people that that got their hopes up that they would be playing Jem or the Holograms, but I didn’t really see that happing since the audition was to be submit just weeks before filming started – that main cast would have to rehearse for weeks before filming.

• Added "worn by" to The Produced JEM Fashions 1986-1987 page, to reference who wear each fashion in the cartoon and when it first appeared.

• We now know the singing voice for Laura “Alone Again” was Jamie Weisberg, added that to The Singing Voices of JEM page

• Added In Stitches Jem™ & Phyllis "Pizzazz" Gabor™ Duet Giftset (2013 IT Direct Exclusive) to the Jem/Jerrica and the Misfits page.
• I updated the JEM Characters - Show vs Dolls page -- adding “Lavender make-up Jem”, starting with episode 41 “The Jazz Singer” and until the end of the series Jem had lavender make-up instead of the purple/lavender “Flash’n Sizzle Jem” make-up. Not sure if they changed Jem “doll”, since 1988 American Beauty was introduced in the very next episode 42 “Rock N’ Roll Express.” Or it could be that they (Sunbow or Hasbro) thought the make-up was too garish and decided to lighten it.

I was going to scan it a lot of Polaroids, slides, Hasbro employee items, etc., yesterday, but my scanner has officially bit the dust. :( I have a plan B, my parents have a scanner and slide scanner (still in the box), but I don’t know if I’ll have much time to sit down to scan again until the fall.

• So I lied, I did have time to add the Stage Essentials to the site. I was out voted on what need to be done this weekend at the new house. I wasn’t sure if need to add them to the Holograms and the Misfits pages and/or the Jem Playsets page – so I added them to all 3 pages, along with the Integrity Toys and IT Quick View. The Misfits played a little joke on me with their Stage Essentials; you’ll have to see if you can what they did. It would be an easy fix, but I think it’s kind of humors so I’m leaving it as I received it.

I forgot to add that some Jetta dolls were shipped with Clash’s sleeve. So Clash must be in the next wave or at least coming soon. The same thing happened with Broadway Magic Jem’s insert, so were shipped with Raya. So Video should be on the way too. The most logical assortment for the next wave would be Video, Clash and Regine … to follow Raya, Jetta and Astral.

The BIG news is the JEM Movie has been officially announced. Check it out at jemthemovie.com, also submit your ideas they want help with writing the music, designing the costumes & casting for the Jem Movie. You will have to include #jemthemovie with your submissions.

• I switched the Hasbro vs. IT to IT vs. Hasbro so the images of the dolls are side by side.

I did get the Stage Essentials sets, but don’t know if I’ll have much time to photograph them this weekend or next.

Did make the final payment for the Stage Essentials, so those should be shipping soon. And should be getting the final payment notice for Raya, Jetta and Astral in the next few weeks, so there will be lots to add. Integrity Toys is keeping us guess for what exiting new addition are coming next.

House update, having the drywall finished as I type and it looks perfect. Later this month we will be having the sub floors leveled so we can lay the new hard wood flooring. The painting and trim was all that we were going to do before moving in, but now we are going to gut and redo the kitchen. So all of the main living area will be finished before we move in, so then I can focus on my toy room after we get moved in. :)

• Fixed the H22 & H44 numbers on the Jem make-up page, I noticed I had the numbers backward.

Not really a JEM updated but I'm kind of excited about my latest MLP for PonyRiot. Aurora, a Hasbro licensee, reached out to me to blog about their new products = they sent free ponies. Not the first licensee to reach out to me, but the first one the send me free stuff :) Unless you can’t the Shout! Factory DVD, but that was given to me because of all the bonus material I donated to the set.

The “Talent Search” is over, now that Carmen "Raya" Alonso™ has joined the Holograms and Sheila "Jetta" Burns™ has joined the Misfits. And as a “magical” wild card the unproduced Maeve "Astral" Eldrich™ is also joining the Integrity Toy Jem and the Holograms Collector doll line.

You can order them today from Integrity Toy Dealers, and they will ship around the end of March.

• Added an entry into the Jem Time Line
• A new page that lays out the JEM Characters - Show Appearance -- I originally wrote this up in April of last year, and not sure why or where I posted it, but found the word doc and thought it would be a nice addition to the site.
• And created a new page JEM Workflow which has a diagram to show how and where the communication took place between Hasbro and Sunbow, and internally. I know when it’s brought up, it gets very confusing – so the diagram should help.

• Finally have Who Is He Kissing? Flipside Giftset added. Do need to retake a few pics; same goes for the Stingers and Broadway Magic Jem.

Just wanted to say Happy Holidays (Merry Christmas) and Happy New Years. We have another Outrageous JEM year to look forward too. With Integrity Toys including Countess Danielle Du Voisin™ it seems like possibilities will be endless for the Sunbow created characters. :) As you can see with Countess Danielle Du Voisin™, Hasbro does not have to trademark the doll names before they are announced – so we should be surprised with every announcement. I have lots of exclusive and exciting content to add to the site – you’ll really see what excitement Hasbro originally had for Jem.

It’s going to be a busy year -- our house is behind schedule. I was hoping to be moved in this week, but had to fire the drywaller and now have to finish that ourselves – before painting, tearing out floors and putting in new hardwood. Once we get moved in then I have to build my toy room, so I will be doing the drywall myself. :) I found my old N-Scale model trains, so I’m feeling the need to build an expansive layout. And it’s killing me not having Christmas lights on the house at all, this year. I have a feeling I’m going to get started creating a mega synchronized light display. I have a 100’ wide by 200’ deep hill as a canvas – which will go into the lake, once we build our dock. It’s going to be such a dork house, I’m even working on a Webster style secret passageway … lol

• The Stingers and Broadway Magic Jem are added, I still have to take pictures of "Who Is He Kissing?" Flip Side duo pack
• Forgot to post the trademark updates -- too excited about the new items :) The Stingers for doll trademarks had been extended on the 19th, along with the publications trademarks. And oddly enough, Synergy, Roxy and Stormer were extended on the 20th -- after the Statement of Usage and Specimen(s) were added on the 8th.

This week Integrity Toys gave the W Club members a sneak peak of new releases that include the scavenger hunt clues in “In Search of the Stolen Album.” Come to find out that is part of the Misfits Stage Essentials. The IT Direct Stage Essentials include instruments from the cartoon. So the Holograms Stage Essentials has Kimber’s stand up keyboard (like Minx’s keyboard), and Aja’s white (Pizzazz) guitar. The Misfits version comes with Stormer Keytar (like Kimber’s Keytar) and Roxy’s guitar in pink as it appeared in the cartoon. Shipping in March 2014. Both have a tour jacket.

IT also gave a hint to the Jem/Jerrica Flip Side 2 pack with a small section of the Varity News from “Who Is He Kissing?” These dolls are featured in Hasbro’s Flip Side Fashion “Getting’ Down To Business”, but how it appeared in the cartoon. Shipping in December 2013.

• November 8th, the notice was sent telling Hasbro they needed to extended the doll trademarks for Riot, Rapture, Minx, Roxy, Stormer and Synergy. Roxy, Stormer and Synergy immediately had a Statement of Use and Specimen added that same day. So the info may have been sent for those three, and lost on someone's desk at the trademark office.
• October 10th, an extension notice was sent for "Jem" and "Jem and the Holograms" for the publications trademark. The extensions has not been processed yet. But it isn't that exciting of an update so I held off until I had more updates to make.

Still have not had time to photograph the Stingers, Broadway Magic or the Diorama Stage.

I did get the Stingers and Broadway Magic Jem, but have not had time to photograph them and add them to the site. The Stingers are well worth the wait. Surprisingly Rapture is my favorite. No doll trademark updates, but some Broadway Magic Jem dolls were shipped with the “Raya Alonso” box insert. So Raya must be in the works for the next Wave of Jem dolls.

This last month and a half has been non-stop renovation – getting home late during the week, and working on the new house all day Saturday and Sundays. It’s been reframed, have had almost all the electrical re-run. Putting in some insulation, but mostly drywall now. We are taking advantage of the “Act On Energy” program, so once the walls are up we having someone come out and put packed insulation in the walls – so we didn’t really need to tear down the bedroom walls to insulate. :) We had five sliders put in on the lakeside, and the siding put back on between them – so insulator will remove some of that same siding to pack the insulation.

I’m kind of playing hooky, as I type – should already be on my way to the house to start working. Dream House = Renovation Nightmare. :) But it will be worth it.

• Kimber, Aja, Shana, Pizzazz and Rio trademarks are all complete for the doll names and Jem and the Holograms for the toy names -- Jem, Synergy, Roxy and Stormer trademarks are still in limbo.
• The Polaroids for Shana (Chanda), Danse and Video finally made their way to ebay, along with Presentation Slides for Jem/Jerrica, Danse, Video, Raya, Clash and Ashley - and can be seen on the JemM page.
• It's been years, but that last known Rockin' Romance Jem has also finally hit ebay and can be seen on the Jem Unproduced Dolls page -- only time will tell if more RR Jem dolls made it out Hasbro in one piece.

Remodel on the new house it taking much longer than expected – but will be well worth it. Had a ceiling to take out, and it revealed that the living room was extended into the original porch, which I had already expected to find – when they took out that wall they did not give the roof and ceiling enough support. So the roof had to be reinforced. Poor us, because means it would be more cost effective to have a cathedral ceiling instead framing a new flat ceiling. Oh darn! :)

We lost our oldest and dearest aunt last weekend. Our youngest 2 pugs (Teddie and Blanket) got out Labor Day weekend and we had to search city streets and alleys for almost 3 hours, but did find them. And the week before that we finally put the oldest pug (Dallas - 12yr) down, Teddie and Blanket’s father – that has been way harder for me than I was expecting. Not exactly the best month ever.

• Glitter'n Gold Jem/Jerrica Benton™ is no added to the site. She is so beautiful.

Just got the keys for the lake house yesterday, and wanted to put GnG Jem on the site before we spend the rest of the day tearing down paneling walls, one acoustic ceiling and ripping up carpets. We have already discovered a flooring nightmare because the front was originally a porch but they tore down the wall between it and the living room – I had my suspicions. So we have decent hardwood floors up that point. We did discover framing for windows where we wanted to put windows in, so with bad there is also good. A framer is coming later today, to see if we can tear down one wall, and see if we have the money in the budget for a vaulted or even a cathedral ceiling.

• Just added an unknown Rio prototype which can be seen on Carleigh's portfolio page that looks very much like "Times Is Running Out™". Finally … I took the picture in May, with the IT Misfits, before putting these prototypes in storage. Finally got the image web ready.
• It seems like the updates for the doll names have dried up, but the Jerrica trademark process is now complete. Synergy, Roxy and Stormer are still in limbo, no date of usage or specimen images have been added yet.

• Managed to steal a little time to add Glitter'n Gold Rio Pacheco™ and Glitter'n Gold Jem/Jerrica Benton™ should be coming very soon.

Wave 4 are the Stingers. It was announced to W Club members on July 18th, but was to remain confidential until the morning of July 19th -- Riot, Rapture and Minx will be available in September 2013.

• Jerrica, along with Kimber, Aja, and Shana have started the Opposition/Acceptance process again for the doll names. I missed that Kimber, Aja and Shana started that process on June 29th.

Here Comes Gold, Glitter & Gold -- as Glitter'n Gold Jem/Jerrica Benton™ will be sold as the 2nd SDCC Exclusive Jem doll, and Glitter'n Gold Rio Pacheco™ will be available as a IT Direct doll later this coming week.

• Finally Jerrica and Rio have a “Statement of Use” (11/01/2012) and “Specimen” (which includes a picture of these doll in the box, the front of the box and for Jerrica a screen capture of the doll being sold on a dealer website) for the doll names. Pizzazz also went through the Opposition/Acceptance status again, first time was in Feb. of 2012.
• I added a link from gay.net to the Jem Cartoon News page -- it has what seems be the start of another love triangle on Jem ;) At least if Minx has anything to say about it.

• The original Minx™ trademark is now officially abandoned -- Minx Kruger™ is still in the extension process along with the other Stingers. Pizzazz now has a “Statement of Use” (05/01/2013) and “Specimen” (which includes a picture of her in the box and the front of the box) for the doll names. So Roxy and Stormer should be updated with the same date -- Jerrica, Jem, Rio, and Synergy also still need to be updated.

• The Trademark proccess is complete for Kimber, Aja and now Shana for the doll names. Classic Jem™ is used as the "Specimen" for the Jem and the Holograms™ trademark for the toy line. -- proccess is not complete, but should be within days. Jem, Jerrica, Synergy, and Rio have not recieved “Statement of Use” yet, but should very soon.
• Images of Broadway Magic Jem™, Glitter'n Gold Jem/Jerrica Benton™ and Glitter'n Gold Rio Pacheco™ have been added.

• Finally Kimber and Aja have a “Statement of Use” (11/01/2012) and “Specimen” (which includes a picture of these doll in the box, the front of the box and a screen capture of the doll being sold on a dealer website) for the doll names. So that does mean Hasbro is associating the trademarks with the Integrity Toy dolls. So the trademarks are NOT evidence that Hasbro maybe working on a mass production line of their own.
• Integrity Toys announced the Integrity Toys W Club exclusive Jem (with a very cool and massive accessory), but I have to double check if there would be an infringement on post info or pictures of her, before I do so. Same goes for the Glitter'n Gold Jem/Jerrica Benton™ and Glitter'n Gold Rio Pacheco™ dolls (but you can see pictures by following the link in the previous update).

Super busy with a home inspection that didn’t go perfectly, but could live with – if the price is lowered to reflect the extra work needed. Plus a home appraisal coming up, and having contractors giving estimates for the new work, plus all the previous renovations that were planned. And dealing with the stress of all that, and having to worry about if that is this best option.

• This years San Diego Comic Con doll is going to be Glitter'n Gold Jem/Jerrica Benton™ and Glitter'n Gold Rio Pacheco™ will be an IT Direct doll. More information can be found on the Jem Doll Line News page.

• Aja, Shana, Rio, Synergy, Roxy and Stormer have all been extended for the doll names. This implies that Hasbro does not want to associate the Integrity Toy dolls with the doll trademarks -- could be assumed they have something else in mind for the trademarks.

A boy and his dolls are soon parted. The majority of my dolls are now sitting at a secure location. Have the inspection of the new house early next week -- and hoping to move closing up if everything checks out fine. Closing is not until the end of July -- that would be two whole months without my dolls.

• The Misfits have arrived to the site -- it's been a busy week, so I have not had much time to get them pictured, and added.
• No updates for Aja, Shana, Rio, Synergy, Roxy and Stormer in the trademark office – really seems like Hasbro is getting the correct documentation ready to submit for them, along with Pizzazz, Kimber, Jerrica and Jem.

Updates might be few and far between for the next several months – we are planning on purchasing a property, gutting it and re doing it. Besides that we should be moving out of our current home and turning it into a rental, so that may mean several months of living in the parents basement, and putting everything in storage.

• Riot Llewelyn™, Rapture Ashe™ & Minx Kruger™ were extended for the doll names. These are the only names that should be extended at this time, because they are not released yet. With a span of a week before only the Stingers were extended, it seems Hasbro may have caught their mistake with extending Jerrca, Kimber and Jem.

• Interesting week for the trademarks – Jem & the Holograms™ and Jem™ were extended for dolls, accessories, board games and jigsaw puzzles for the toy line. Roxy Pelligrini™ & Stormer Phillips™ trademarks have received an extension needed notice for the doll names this week – along with Jerrica Benton™, Kimber Benton™, Aja Leith™, Shana Elmsford™ Synergy™ & Rio Pacheco™.

Roxy and Stormer may or may not need an extension because they will be out in a few weeks, so Hasbro could submit a specimen (picture) and/or “First Use” to be done with the extension process for all of these doll trademarks. Maybe an over sight, or hard to submit since Hasbro has the trademarks and Integrity Toys is releasing the dolls – more communication to get the information needed to the trademark office. Or maybe these trademarks are not really for the Integrity Toy line, but something else. ???

• Brand new page JEM Hasbro Assortments allows you to see how Hasbro left stock numbers available for future dolls and fashions to be added to each assortment.

• Finally have the JEM Time Line page up, after a day and half of putting this database together – all the information and data I have pulled together is in one place and organized by date. I still have a few more things to add, can’t seem to locate a few things in my collection and information I have collected over all these years. There is a lot of information I don’t have, and is not available, so we may never see this time line completed. But it’s a start, and you can see how the History of JEM fell together. If you do have something to add please let me know.

Saturday was going to be a Jem day, I was either going to spend the day scanning things to add to the site or put this page together – I figured I had held onto this page holder long enough, it was time to fill it. :)

Jem and the Holograms Memorial Day Weekend marathon part 2

Right about the time we get our Integrity Toy the Misfits dolls we will get to see JEM on TV yet again. I'm kind of suspicions about the time of another marathon on May 26th, 2013.The DVDs have been out, the majority of the major/character dolls will have been out. So what's Hasbro have up their sleeves this time?

2013 makes the 15th year of TotallyJem!

Around February or March of 1998 TotallyJem! got it started as a small aol.com page, those free pages that came with your paid aol email accounts. That site included the Jem dolls scanned – with the tops and bottoms of the boxes missing. You only saw what fit on the scanner bad. Over the years it moved to geocities.com, riot4jem.com, dreamwater.org, and finally landed at jemmagic.com. Geocities had a web developing features that really got me started, and soon I discovered Netscape composer and I was on. Dreamweaver made life a lot easier in 2001, and it’s the program I have been using ever since.

Not that TotallyJem! has ever had a mission statement, but I have always tried to find out as much accurate information about Jem and the Holograms I can. I try to track down the designers involved and get their take on the Jem line, their designs, etc. – go straight to the sources. TotallyJem! is just the vehicle in which I can share my findings and love for everything Jem.

Here’s to many more years of new and fascinating information about our favorite cartoon and doll line.

• I have had several requests to put the pictures from the Jemcon(s) I attended back up, so I’m reluctantly doing so. But I will not relink or advertise for Jemcon in any way, unless there are several major changes made. There are a lot of people I missed, by not attending – but the continuous bullying, egos and obnoxious attitudes by a few members and staff made me way to uncomfortable to attend. Even for a day, and even thou the host city was less than two hours away.

So Thursday the bank realized that they did not check something on the loan application So one hour before closing we were told about it, and the law is that we could not sign until three days after that -- so this week.

Our 22 year old "foster" kid moved out this week to start college in the fall -- miss him, but it's nice to have the house back to normal. And my dad is still having kidney issues, that are not diagnosed -- but we found out this week that he does not have cancer, and is pre-diabetic. So his health could be a lot worse at 73.

Happy Anniversary of Truly Outrageous! the Movie April 4th should be the 23 Anniversary of the original air date of the movie, in the Spring of 1986. The official air date for "The Beginning" was April 7th, and many fans remember Truly Outrageous! movie being aired the Friday before.

• Replaced Jem compared to other Sunbow Shows with Sunbow Date of Publication/Air Dates which includes many more Sunbow air dates then what can be found on the web currently.
