| You may be asking why the 1987 Holograms had new color, but for preexisting fashions. It was because of budget restrictions, the fabrics for the fashions were cut using a die -- so brand new fashion designed would need new dies and would led to higher cost for the dolls. |

A Wedding Kimber and Wedding Groom would not be part of the 4005 Holograms assortment, but they would be stand along dolls like Rio and Synergy. I'm also including them here since Kimber was a Holograms assortment doll for the first two years of the line.
Jem "Wedding Kimber & Male" was assigned to a designer on Oct. 21, 1986. But she does not remember the male doll being designed. |
